The AquaSud team has been working since late 2023 on revamping the educational project for the community swimming school (ENC). This has resulted in the creation of a binder and the card game "AquaBigoud, the legendary tribes of AquaSud," which will allow each child to track their progress in a fun way, through a card game inspired by the marine world, currently featuring 5 tribes of marine animals. Numerous educational projects have been implemented at the AquaSud swimming pool since its opening in 2007. To support children enrolled in the ENC in their learning and to create an innovative project, the swimming instructors, including Nicolas Palacin as project manager, proposed that children receive collectible cards in addition to traditional diplomas throughout their training.

Perspectives / développement :

Possible addition of other marine families if additional exercises are needed Online exercise videos so parents can bring their children to public sessions if they encounter difficulties

Problématiques et enjeux :

Several educational objectives and benefits led to the creation of this resource: - Interactivity: The child is an active participant in their learning, co-constructing it with the swimming instructor. Parents can track their child's progress.- Education: The child can self-assess and guide their actions to complete their learning.- Attractiveness: The child clearly identifies their room for improvement, their curiosity is piqued, encouraging them to try. Their efforts are rewarded.- Practicality: Each situation is easy to implement, as it is an integral part of the session and the educational activities offered throughout the year.- Evolution: Other cards can be created, and videos will soon be put online to present and explain the various exercises.- Fun: Several games are presented within the binder; the most classic are "Bataille" (Battle) or another inspired by the famous "Game of 7 Families." The legendary tribes game requires more thought and is aimed more at teenagers.

We decided to create the Best Practices sheets* after observing a lack of and need for sharing among local authorities regarding swimming pools.

* A best practice is an action that has been concretely implemented in one facility and could serve as a source of inspiration for other facilities. Whether simple or revolutionary, what matters is that it is judicious and inspiring for another establishment.
