AQUAPARTY: Forbach's Olympic swimming pool is unveiled to the public!

The Forbach Porte de France agglomeration community hosts sports clubs within its facility and offers a wide range of activities with its own teams. The idea of offering an introduction to all sports activities and practices as part of a festive themed evening emerged in 2017. Since then, the project has only grown, to the delight of the attendees.
The Olympic swimming pool and partner clubs receive much praise from participants. The atmosphere is family-friendly and festive. The requirement for those under 16 to be accompanied by a responsible adult has helped reinforce this high-quality atmosphere. The last evening was a great success, with no issues or injuries reported.
The Olympic swimming pool will offer 2 events per year and is considering additional initiatives in the future.
The latest Aquaparty, the tenth edition, brought together nearly 900 people. Pool activities such as aquagym, deep-water aquagym, aquaboxing, watfit, aquabike, aquatraining, aquadance, and aquacross were offered, totaling over 800 coached slots (reservable throughout the evening at the activity tables). A new activity, FLOWPULSE, was highlighted. Our partner clubs offered 120 introductory dives and 100 discovery sessions for fin swimming and freediving for the diving club (SCAF). Around a hundred swimming certificates were offered by the swimming club (FAN). The triathlon club presented 100% aquatic triathlon sessions, a concept they invented in 2018. They also offered catering throughout the evening, which provided them with an income. The goal of this evening is to offer a symbolic price (3 euros) and to promote ourselves by directly showcasing our facility. On average, 20 to 30% new people attend. Word-of-mouth works. Clubs are registering new members. Coordinating all these activities, staff, and clubs requires precise and rigorous organization. The pool manager handles multiple schedules, including activity management, pool safety, staff and instructor rotations, and break/meal times. The BPJEPS AAN training, provided by ERFAN in Forbach, is fully integrated. Two Aquaparty events take place during the training year. In November, trainees are in observation and safety roles. In March, they will be put into practical situations and evaluated during sessions with the public.
The discharged water is reused to clean the city, reducing waste and preserving drinking water by optimizing its usage cycle.
Interactive learning to motivate the child, acknowledge their efforts, involve parents, and progress with new engaging content.
The system saved 140,000 m³ and €900,000. The goal is total water autonomy, with optimized quality monitoring via COTmètre.
40% reduction in electricity consumption for lighting, a 1 GWh decrease, and an increase in nighttime and event attendance from 5% to 20%.
Since 2013, every rescue has been a complete success. Since 2019, no major intervention has been necessary, a sign of effective vigilance.
